Our Team

CEO

Sara is a passionate and accomplished leader, Non-Profit Business Analyst, Software Architect, and Technical Lead with extensive services and product experience. She has worked with Salesforce for Nonprofits for nearly twenty years delivering custom solutions.

After being incubated for nearly ten years growing a nonprofit technology practice, it was time to go it on her own (with her incredible team, and wonderful clients).

She received a B.A. in Math from Wesleyan University, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Oregon where she was a Graduate Teaching Fellow. Sara transplanted to the Golden State nearly 25 years ago but remains a NY-er at heart.

In her spare time (which is nearly non-existent with this whole running a company thing) she’s an avid photographer, rock climber, and adores driving her old VW van, Marcel, all around the great West.

Lead Salesforce Architect

Loren has spent 15 years in the nonprofit and tech space, focusing on building digital tools that empower our social impact clients to change the world.

In his early career Loren took on various roles – advocacy, fundraising, program communications, and marketing – which provided him a solid grounding in the various ways non-profits function. Ultimately, Loren gravitated toward technology, taking on leadership roles to explore and implement emerging tools, and eventually became a Salesforce Administrator.

Over the past 5 years, Loren has worked as a Lead Salesforce Consultant and Data Architect, focusing on leveraging technology to help clients from a wide array of sectors from higher education and international adoption to healthcare and youth leadership through sports.

Outside of work, Loren loves spending time outdoors with his wife Donna, his sons Everett and River, and their chihuahua Coco.

Lead Salesforce Architect

Abe Fallon is an enthusiastic promoter of practical web and database technologies. Abe has been a great big nerd since forever and, prior to joining Impact Evolution, he served in IT leadership roles in nonprofit and higher education settings where he implemented Salesforce solutions to help solve complex challenges and unify business processes around a single source of truth.

While Abe delights in solving problems with technology, he really loves getting to know folks – sharing some laughs and gaining a deep understanding of the real people and the work they do. The consequences of Abe’s people-first style are: mutual enjoyment in the work together and the creation of tools that are powerful and well-tailored to the needs of day-to-day users.

Abe holds a BA in Psychology from Skidmore College and a MS in Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. And, when he’s not geeking-out, Abe enjoys being outside with his family, working in the garden and taking walks in the woods.

Program Management Lead

Megan Slater is a technology executive with over 25 years of experience transforming strategic business goals into tangible plans with measurable outcomes by focusing on the intersection of business and technology. Most recently, Megan was Vice President, Enterprise Platforms at Okta and has held similar IT leadership roles at Unity Technologies and AppDynamics/Cisco following over four years of experience with nonprofit Salesforce implementation consulting. In addition to her current role at Impact Evolution, Megan is also a Technology Committee Advisor for the Marin Community Foundation and Program Director for the San Francisco Job Forum’s Workforce of the Future initiative.

Megan enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, and finds joy in cooking and baking to keep everyone energized for their many adventures and hobbies.

Lead Software Engineer

Chase has been driven by curiosity and new challenges since his first experience tinkering with a computer at age eight. After choosing a self-taught path of software engineering, he moved into the Salesforce world, leading a vertical at AWS, which at the time had the largest Salesforce system in the world. He helped launch Amplify, a backend tool that supports millions of apps, and later built a SaaS platform from scratch at cybersecurity firm Tidal Cyber.

Chase brings that same strong work ethic and deep expertise in large-scale systems to Impact Evolution in his role as our lead engineer. He is driving the development of standardized engineering processes to support our company’s continued growth. In addition, he applies CI/CD best practices to streamline software development and writes Apex and Lightning Web Components tailored to client needs.

Chase lives by the idea that you get out of life what you put into it (so it’s worth putting a lot into it!). In his free time, he enjoys being outside in his home city of Seattle, Washington, whether relaxing at a cafe or hiking on a trail by the lake.

Database Specialist

J.D. has designed and supported database applications for more than two decades, delivering turnkey projects to Alameda County, BART, AC Transit, Cordoba Corporation, Atthowe Fine Arts, Diocese of Oakland, San Francisco Symphony, and many Bay Area non-profits.

At Impact Evolution he specializes in data migrations, porting data from legacy applications into Salesforce, preserving records and avoiding data loss even when data-structures vary and major “cleanup” is required.

J.D. lives in San Francisco with his wife, daughter, and mystery-breed dog. He’s a published science fiction author (Reclaimed Earth series) and co-owner/operator of Loöq Records (a San Francisco electronic music label). If you can think of a nerdy hobby, J.D. has probably enjoyed it at one time or another (tabletop RPGs, miniature painting, metal detecting, Pokemon GO, chess, blogging, etc.).

Associate Salesforce Consultant

Annie brings diverse experience with Salesforce clients across industries—from manufacturing companies to environmental nonprofits—and specializes in improving efficiency, data management, and privacy compliance. She’s drawn to Impact Evolution’s mission of social impact, and energized by the variety and purpose her work provides.

She’s always had an interest in problem solving and building solutions, dating back to her college years studying geology. Those same strengths shine through in her work with Impact Evolution, where she’s known for her analytical mindset, active listening, and positive energy. Right now, Annie is contributing to projects in accreditation management and food bank support.

Annie enjoys expressing her creative and analytical sides, at work and in her free time. Whether hiking near her Denver home, practicing yoga, playing guitar, or reading a good book, she treats her time off as a chance to recharge with movement, creativity, and self-care.

Project Manager

Rochelle learned early on that if you want something, you can make it. She grew up with two creative parents who always had supplies on hand. It was the beginning of a varied career path including areas like visual design, technology, and communications. This diverse experience helps her to bring fresh outsider takes to sometimes siloed industries.

At Impact Evolution, she brings her resourcefulness, versatility, and love of helping people to our project management. Rochelle takes pride in delighting clients, keeping projects on track, and supporting colleagues. She is both hyper detail-oriented and easygoing, able to read people and keep things light. She also excels at breaking down complex problems into simpler ones.

Outside of work, Rochelle doesn’t sit still – her husband, a fellow artist, calls her a hummingbird. She volunteers for her daughter’s ballet studio as a costumer/seamstress and the two also bond by playing music. Whenever she can, she gardens and enjoys the coast with her family (including a dog, a cat, and a fish) near Ventura, California.

Senior Software Engineer

Joe has worked in the Salesforce ecosystem for 13 years, seven of which have been in the consulting space. He has worked with a wide range of Salesforce implementations and companies, including small startups, large tech companies, nonprofits, and state governments.

While his background in Mathematics (B.A., University of Colorado) keeps his workday preferences squarely on the engineering side of things, he believes the biggest drivers of project success are UX quality, excitement among stakeholders, and end user adoption. As a result, Joe is always considering functional architecture in his work, and strives to create simple, intuitive, and frictionless code modules that make sense to people. He wrote lots of bad code in college (many, many years ago) to get that phase out of the way nice and early, and feels confident in his digital prowess now.

Joe lives in Denver, Colorado, where half his free time is spent playing ice hockey. The other half is distributed somewhat evenly among spending time in the mountains to ski, spending time in the mountains in general, traveling, and attempting to teach himself wildlife photography.

Quality Assurance Specialist

With a doctorate in psychology and a strong background in quality assurance, I bring a unique perspective to my work that blends analytical precision with a deep understanding of human behavior. My academic journey cultivated a passion for problem-solving and attention to detail, which naturally aligned with the meticulous and process-oriented nature of QA. I enjoy the challenge of ensuring systems work seamlessly, delivering quality, reliable and user-friendly experiences that make an impact.

My work is driven by a love for uncovering potential issues and ensuring that everything functions at its best—whether that’s a technical system or a broader organizational process. This blend of psychology and QA allows me to approach challenges with both a logical and empathetic mindset, making the work not only rewarding but also meaningful as I contribute to creating efficient, effective solutions.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my dogs and weight lifting. I also enjoy the quiet escape of a good book in a wide array of genres. These hobbies keep me balanced and recharged, fueling my enthusiasm for the work I do every day.
